Some videos..

We knew that April would likely have a wide range of musical taste being our daughter... but she, for what ever reason, has taken a pretty big shine to SlipKnot. That being said.. she also loves Sevendust, Paul Simon, Weird Al, Brad Paisley, IKE, Stevie Wonder and Clay Cook. :)

Baby on the Move... Those little legs are fast! At least I had Ti to help. :)

It's a good thing Max loves April as much as he does... He puts up with a lot!!!

Sorry...

As most of you know Jon and I are expecting a new member of the family in May. So, as you can imagine I have been a little under the weather. :)

I am going to try to get some new pictures and video up soon.

Super Star Nieces!

We made a very last minute trip to Snellville, Ga this weekend. While we were there we got to go to one of our niece's soccer game. Maddy played a great game and her sister Missy cheered her hardest for her.

War Eagle!!!

I'm not sure what I was thinking... Oh yeah... I love my husband and he loves Auburn!! Here are some pics of his littel cheerleader at the start of the game tongiht against Miss St.

Can you say...

That's My GIRL!!!!!!

Nap Time with her Fuzzy! I'm not completely sure how she fell asleep with a book on her back...
While I was uploading the picture above to the computer, April disappeared for a few minutes and came out holding something as big as she was. We had just started The Little Mermaid... Lots of fun songs! This was in the closet. I couldn't be more proud of this wonderful little girl!

Amy @ Reflections

After being disappointed with almost every hair cut that I have gotten for a couple of years... I met someone here in the Savannah/Pooler area that is AWESOME!!! She is not only a very talented stylist, but she's also very sweet. Remember the days of going to the hair salon and chatting, relaxing, and getting pretty? I actually had one of those days and it was wonderful! Everyone at Reflections (the salon that Amy works at) was super nice. Even though they were all busy, they didn't make anyone feel rushed. That in it's self deserves a metal in this day and age. If I am willing to put a personal recommendation on our family blog... then I hope you understand that it is sincere.

Time to Catch Up

Lots of things have been going on that I have neglected to post. I will try to catch up a little over the next few days.

April is a great helper! Oh and you can hear her say her new favorite word. :)

This was all because I wouldn't let her turn off the computer. She's not always all smiles and giggles.

THAT'S MY GIRL!!!

OK, so Salina told me the other day that April turned on my cd player and ejected a couple of cd's. She failed to tell me though which two cd's she got. This is how I know she is my baby girl. April pulled out RUSH's "Counterparts" cd and also "Roll the Bones." We said she would have GREAT musical taste.

Busy girl

Our little girl has been quite the busy girl.

  • hiding in Ti's crate
  • lounging in her walker (I had to lower it to the ground because she was trying to climb onto it. )
  • walking EVERYWHERE! I will try to have some video soon.
  • getting new teeth (6 so far - 4 on the bottom 2 up top.)

Shark Week!!! YAY!!!!!!

This is a very important message for anyone who has a "shark geek" that is close to them. For the next week they may seem distant and even irritated if you attempt to call or text them from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST. This is largely due to the fact that Discovery Channel is featuring it's annual "Shark Week". Please try to be patient and understanding with your loved ones. They will normally slip out of the trance a few days after Shark Week is over. (Many of them will still stare blankly at the TV for a few days waiting for this knowledge implantation to continue.) While this can be the most frustrating time for those surrounding a geek it is still very important for you to offer as much support as you can.

If they attempt to share their new knowledge it is well advised to smile, nod, and give a occasional "Really" or "You don't say". DO NOT try to distract them. They may recognize your well meaning ploy and become agitated.

All kidding aside. This is a very important week for many ocean lovers and shark enthusiast. There is a plethora of information that I, and many other geeks, have received from watching far to many hours of Discovery Channel. If you feel so inclined, please take a moment to educate your self and your family about what you can do to help save these incredible and magnificent creatures.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

PS - PLEASE do not call during the above times unless it is an absolute emergency. Just kidding. I have voicemail. :)

Birthday Girl

It happened! April turned one year old this past Thursday. She had a birthday party at her GranNana and GranPapa's house in Waycross, Ga on Saturday. As you can see.... She LOVED her cake and homemade peach icecream!!!
All Smiles!!!
Sharing Cake with her Daddy!

April LOVED the homemade peach ice cream! She kept saying "Ummmmm!" Yes... I know.. I'm silly for doing the Jaws and shark things... But it is Shark Week!

Pucker Up Baby!

After keeping people from doing this to our child I finally gave in. This is is April's first taste of a lemon. We were at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Cancun Cafe.
