Family Trip

My wonderful husband had a great idea...Let's do something special with April before baby brother gets here. We decided that a trip to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta would be perfect. Man were we right!!! Not only did Mom get to see some of the most amazing sharks and sea creatures.. April soaked up every last bit of information available.

April got so excited when rays would swim up to her (in the petting pool) and if only I could have gotten a picture of her expression when she first saw the jellyfish and the large viewing wall at the tropical fish. She also got to see a real live clown fish!!! When they swam down so she could see them she squealed out "MOMO!!" I had to laugh it was so cute!

My camera didn't want to work in the aquarium the few times I tried to take pictures. The rest of the time we were enjoying ourselves so much I completely forgot to take pictures. The pictures that did show up will give you an idea of how excited April was. She could barley contain herself... not that I can blame her.. it really was a wonderful trip.

We also got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Robbins. They came to the aquarium with us and got several good laughs from April's excitement.

"New MOMO"

When we originally got April a plush Nemo toy.. we had NO IDEA that she was going to become as attached to her "MoMo" as she has. He must be there when she goes to bed.. she wants him if she doesn't feel good.. Nemo has become a very important to our sweet little girl.

Having said that.. Jon and I decided we should get a back up Nemo, just in case something catastrophic happens to her "MOMO" (Rooster eats it, it gets lost, it gets broken beyond repair...). So while we were in Atlanta we went to Discover Mills where they still have a Disney store. She walked in, walked straight over to a Nemo, picked it up, said with a very definitive tone "MOMO" and nodded. As if that was just what she was looking for. We walked around and looked at many wonderful things while we waited for Daddy. She only put him down long enough to pet a dalmatian from 101 Dalmatians and announce "Puppy". Then it was back to her new Nemo.

When Jon got there we started up to the register. We saw a huge nemo about the same time she did. Jon had already handed the cashier the much smaller Nemo for purchase. April walked over, got the big Nemo off the shelf, took it over to her Daddy, attempted to hold it up to him, and with her beautiful big brown eyes staring up at him... she said "MOMO?" My though was, Do you really need a "Momo" the size of Ti?... But Jon, being the wonderfully sweet man that he is, said "You know what April, your a good baby and you never ask for anything... Ok." and he put the Nemo on the counter.

I have to admit that I felt a little better when I realized that they were both about 50% off.

The following pictures are from last night just before bed.

There are lots of people in the area that we love and miss. If we did not get to see you, I hope you will accept my apologies. We only had a day and a half to fit everything in.
We had a wonderful trip and April had a blast!! But I am so glad to be home.

Joey and Rory - Home

I got a great cd for Christmas from my brother-in-law Jeff. I put it on my list after hearing "Cheater Cheater" on the radio. (I didn't know who they were.. but I liked their sound) http://www.joeyandrory.com/

I know that I have mentioned the album to a few of you, but this is a song that I LOVE and gives you a general idea of how low key there music is. I don't often suggest music or cd's... but if you like this song.. I HIGHLY recommend getting it!!!

This song reminds me of my Papa! He is a man of very few words, but when he speaks I tend to listen. I love him very much and hope he gets to hear this song. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9YWqjuJMkc

Two of our girls

April has some pretty big shoes to fill. :) LOL
These are soem of her Daddy's shoes that he was going to donate to Nike's Reuse a Shoe program. I guess she thinks they still have some life left in them. :)

My Ti Ti.. My Cuddle Bug! I love our big goofy TiTi!!!
It seems that the only time that we can get a picture is when she's asleep. Any other time she looks more like a blur.

Daddy's Little Girl

This is what happens when Jon comes home. He calls as he's pulling onto our road, so that I can tell her Daddy's coming and help her up the couch (if she needs it).

Can you imagine a better thing for him to see and hear when he gets out of the car? It's a shame she's not at all a Daddy's Girl. LOL

Tonight he was practicing his golf swing, with out his club, in the living room. April watched him do it a couple of times and started swinging too. Starting with her hands together at her right shoulder, swinging around, and touching her left shoulder. LOL As you can imagine we cheered, Daddy gave a great big "That's My Girl!", and she continued to "practice". It won't be long until Jon is measuring her for her first clubs. :)

As for Baby Brother (aka Thing Two by Ms Stephanie) he gets everywhere a little before I do now. He is very active! We are still having a hard time with names. We can't seem to come up with a middle name for River Robbins. I told Jon we should just name him River Rush Robbins. :) He declined. LOL

Fun!!!

We had a play date today at a place called Island Playground. April had a BLAST! I had only planned to stay for an hour or so... but I let her play until I saw her rubbing her eyes and yawning. Here are some pictures of our girl.

18 Months

April turned 1 1/2 on the 24th! It doesn't even seem possible!

She's talking up a storm! Especially during growth sprouts. "Mommy. More. Eat. Please." She will repeat numbers and some of the ABC's... Though sometimes instead of repeating the number she says the next one. She says Please and Thank You and several things have been renamed. Rooster is "Roo Whoo" and Nemo is "Momo". Waffle doesn't come out just right either, but I have no idea how to spell it. LOL

Yesterday, we went for her 18 month check up. She didn't get any shots, but she did get a Tinkerbell sticker, a sucker, and lots of compliments. Her stats are as follows. Weight 24 lbs 8 oz and Height 31 1/4 inches.

We have our first playdate with our new mommy group today. I am taking the camera, so I will try to take lots of pictures. :)

15 Month Check Up

We just got back from Dr. Stone's office, where April had her 15 mon. check up. She did pretty well and didn't even cry when they pricked her finger. When she got her vaccines, however... THAT was a different story. She was not very impressed with those.
She is 24 lbs 6oz and 30.5 inches tall. (She got weighed on the "big girl scale" lol. ) She is doing very well and is keeping in the 74% of her age range.

Some videos..

We knew that April would likely have a wide range of musical taste being our daughter... but she, for what ever reason, has taken a pretty big shine to SlipKnot. That being said.. she also loves Sevendust, Paul Simon, Weird Al, Brad Paisley, IKE, Stevie Wonder and Clay Cook. :)

Baby on the Move... Those little legs are fast! At least I had Ti to help. :)

It's a good thing Max loves April as much as he does... He puts up with a lot!!!

Sorry...

As most of you know Jon and I are expecting a new member of the family in May. So, as you can imagine I have been a little under the weather. :)

I am going to try to get some new pictures and video up soon.
