Muffin Tin Mondays - No Theme

Thank Goodness there was no theme for this week. Between having to walk to the store for eggs and baking Birthday cupcakes.. I was doing good to remember lunch. LOL

BTW: I had to walk to the store because I forgot that I needed 3 eggs for the Hubby's Birthday cupcakes. I boiled and dyed all of the ones I had. LOL So we got to walk to the store. Just over 2 miles away. Will try to plan ahead better next year!!! :o)

April had an Easter egg, apple sauce with green sprinkles, mini marshmallows and Welch's gummies, ham on toothpicks, fresh strawberries, and raisins.

New game and a lesson in Static Electricity

April has a new favorite game!! I saw a variation of this online.. and just used what I had on hand to make it work. :o)

I used colored pom-poms and paper plates. As you can see I wrote the name of the color and the coloured the outer ring to make ti more obvious for her.

Muffin Tin Monday

I was introduced to MTM last week. It looked like so much fun I couldn't wait to give it a go. April thought it was GREAT fun!! Since this was my first time.. I didn't do a theme.. but you can see lots of fun ideas on MTM.

On today's menu.. Dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. BBQ sauce, pickle, Welch's fruit gummies, fresh strawberries, and pretzels.

Firetrucks

We went to Waycross this past weekend. We got to see family and even got to go out to the firestation to check out some trucks with Papa.

They got a new truck that has an enclosed cab. insted of sitting on the back or hanging off. :o) This is April sitting in one of the back seats. She was so little in that big truck.

Playing Outside!

After having so much fun at the beach.. we just had to take further advantage of the weather yesterday! We played outside until some friends came over and then played some more.

I think Logan was a little over getting his picture taken. LOL

First Trip to the Beach 2010

It was so beautiful this morning.. who could resist going to the beach. :o) This was Logan's first trip to the beach and April's first time not being scared of the water. LOL Couldn't stay long... but I'm so glad we went.

Just after this picture was taken.. Logan got excited and got a little to up close and personal with the ocean. LOL

An April Funny

We were in Walmart yesterday to get a new memory card for our trip. April was getting bored fast in electronics, so I told Jon that we were going to go look at "T-O-Y-S" April started walking away saying "We're going to look at T-O-Y-S. Do you want to go look at toys, Mommy? Ok. We can go look at toys!" We turned the corner and an older lady who had heard this, asked me "How old is she?" .. "2 1/2" I replied. She laughed and told me that I may be in trouble. LOL... Yeah.. Ya think?

BACK TO OUR BLOG! :o)

It seems that one of our biggest problems with blogging was our old computer. We have since retired the old one and it's amazing how much faster (and quieter) the new one is.

We have quite a lot to catch up with.. so it will have to come little by little.

We are currently excited about a trip to Disney. I can hardly wait to see April's face when she gets to see Cinderella's Castle. *giggle* AND Jon's reaction to April and Logan *double giggle*. I am so grateful for the opportunity to take the family on such an exciting vacation.

Speaking of opportunity.. If you get a chance to take part in the "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" program.. I highly recommend it. You never know what kind of opportunities you might find. We turned in hand made cards that were to be handed out to seniors who are home bound, to help brighten their day. :o) I was able to make them at HOME and turn them in at a scheduled time.

To my dear friend, Bailey, who introduced me to blogging... "I'm Baaaaaaack!" :o)

I have been amazed at how many people are on FB. I'm also concerned. I wonder why people insist on poking me, kidnapping me, adn now shooting me with a water gun! I assume they know that I'm rather pregnant! LOL

Bitter Sweet Day

Today is my 33rd Birthday. I must say that it has been bitter sweet. Even though I have had a wonderful day, it has been peppered with memories of my Nana.

I know that she loved me and would have wanted me to have a beautiful day. Not to sit and pine over words not yet spoken or hugs that missed their opportunity. Having said that, I am still very sad and this is still very new. So, I am still pretty emotional.

Nana was a wonderful person. She gave the best hugs, fed anyone who walk into her home, and laughed with her whole body. But most importantly she loved with everything she had.

I will miss you Nana! I will do my best to make you proud!
