Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies that we know and love!
I had a very nice Mother's Day. April (with a good bit of help from Jon) got me a beautiful bouquet of Sunflowers, a really cute card, dinner, and TONS of smiles and hugs. Ok, she didn't need much help with the smiles and hugs.
I am truly very lucky! I have a husband that I love very much, a beautiful little girl, and we're surrounded by pets that we adore! I don't think I could ask for much more. Well maybe to win the lottery!... but that would just be gravy!

Duck and Cover!

The world as we know it may very well be coming to an end!! MY husband has BOUGHT a COUNTRY MUSIC Cd!!!!!!!!
When I was going out to the car last night I noticed a Brad Paisley Cd on the window seal. It was unwrapped and I knew I didn't buy it...
I looked at Jon. He smiled and knew that he was busted. (Not that he was keeping it from me.) I gave him a kiss and wanted to check for a fever, but stopped short of putting my hand on his forehead.
For those that don't know Jon... he was NOT a country music guy by any stretch of the imagination when I met him. He would give me such a hard time about country music!!! Then I noticed that he knew who a few of the artists were. Not long after that I heard him mumbling the words to a song. One day when we got in his car, it radio was on a country station. (I thought it must be a mistake) NOW he has PURCHASED a CD for HIMSELF, NOT for ME!!

I LOVE IT!!!!! but more importantly I LOVE JON!!!!!!

Look what saw at the park.

We went to the park with our friend Ms Amanda and her little girl. Look what we saw..

April got so tickled! She giggled and squealed with delight.

After our walk around the lake, we had a nice picnic and April did her best to eat some grass. ;)

Good News.. Bad News...

Before the emails start let me just say that I have a very good reason for not posting anything for a while!

April has been a pretty sick little girl! Fever as high as 104.1, sore throat and mad at the world! Today her fever broke and a nasty rash started... yes, for those with children nodding their heads, it was indeed
Roseola! Not to worry... She is feeling much better now, but it was a pretty long weekend for all involved.

Now for some very exciting news... When we were at our friends The Martin's house on Thursday, April took her first steps! I didn't take any videos since i wanted Jon to see before anyone else, and then she got sick. I will try to get some videos as soon as I can.

Look what I found

While I was out caddying yesterday, my player hit his ball into the pond at #15. While I tried to fish his ball out, I saw another ball. I saw the swoosh on it, and since I am Nike I grabbed it up. Only to turn it around and discover the most Unique Nike ball of them all. You can hopefully tell from the picture who's ball it was!

First Sign!

Tonight April used her first sign! I had started trying to teach just a few words/signs to begin with and tonight she used the sign for milk over and over again while having her bedtime bottle. When I noticed it and started praising her, she gave me me a sweet little smile and did it again.
I found a great website that teaches Baby signs. Far be it form me not to share!

http://www.aslpro.com/cgi-bin/aslpro/aslpro.cgi
Just click on ASL for babies.

Ok, ok I know. As my friend Stephanie would so eloquently put it, I'm turning into a "Crunchy Granola-ee Mom" ! LOL
1 Made baby food
2 cloth diapers
3 Baby wearing
4 Teaching sign language
What's next... LOL!!!

I know, I know... !

I have gotten the emails and heard the request. I'm sorry that it has been so long since our last posting.

Since we last saw you,

Jon was able to attend the final "Championship" round of The Masters. He also got to caddie on Media Day, the following Monday. He was very excited!

As for April and I...
April is crawling and picking up speed everyday. I have taken down the coffee table to give her some extra room. She is in the process of adding to her two cute, yet very sharp, little teeth. She's getting so big! I tried to put a pair of her Nike pants on today and they looked like capris!

I will try to write another post in the next few days.

This video was taken this afternoon.

Look What I Can Do!!

We were in April's room today and she started pulling herself up. I wanted to take video, but it was to dark for it to come out. :(

While I was getting ready to make this post.. this is what she was dong! God help me! Our lives will never be the same!
As you can see, Ti is a wonderful helper!

10th hole

This is probably my favorite hole on the course(minus ofcourse amen corner). This is the 10th hole. From the top at the tee box to the bottom most part of the fairway, is as tall as the Statue of Liberty(if she was wearing 5 ft heels). Luckily when I work there we walk downhill on this hole.

Happy Daddy, Happy Daddy!!!

Many of you know that Jon is a caddie for Augusta National Golf Club, and this is a rather important week for Augusta and golfers alike. It's time for THE MASTERS!!
Since he was off today.. guess where he went. I'll give you one guess. LOL

(This is the only camera that we can upload video. It may not be the best quality...but you get the idea of what his day was like.)

April and I woke up pretty early to see Daddy off. Once we had breakfast and got dressed we went to get formula and play at the park with the Martin Crew. All in all, a pretty uneventful day here in Savannah. (Sorry, no pictures, Daddy took all the cameras. )

Play date with friends

On Monday, we went to play at Burger King (it was cold and rainy), we invited the Martin crew over for popcorn and movies. The guys watched Flubber, the babies chewed and drooled on things, and we mommies got to have grown up talk.

Today we had story time at the library and learned about kites. I have said more than once though that I wish I could have gone back to bed and started over. It was just an icky day all in all.

I was letting April play in her crib while I folded diapers. When I turned around she was standing up in her crib. She has started pulling up on things other than me! I should have known that I would be turned into a walking jungle gym after having a child. LOL

Fun with bananas

Tonight April's mouth was really hurting her. After exhausting many options, I remembered that I had frozen a banana in pieces and figured that we could give it a try. I got her nakie and presented her with the nanner. Not only did it help with her mouth, it distracted her and meant that she got an extra long bath. She was a happy girl!

After her bath we thought that we would see if she would like to sit on her Tigger that she got from her Aunt Karen. She later fell off and had to be doctored with hugs and kisses, but she's fine now.
