I should explain now...

I should get this out in the open now and explain..
Bot of April's doctors recommended getting her ears pierced while she is a baby. I question the doctors and asked many other moms why they had it done. They all said the same thing. They will heal faster and since mom is the one taking care of them, you know that they are being cared for properly. Jon and I discussed it and decide to get them pierced.
Now having said that... Jon was is so right! I think it may have been harder on me than it was on her. I nearly had a panic attack while I was sittitng in the chair with her. LOL and she may have cried a minute, if that! Honestly, I still question getting it done before she was old enough to ask to have it done. (It seemed to be a right of passage in our family.) But most of the time, I'm glad we got it done.
So yes, if you blow up the pictures with her sippy cup, you will indeed see an earring in her perfect little ears.

At the Pool

Since our sweet little girl didn't sleep much last night, I thought it would be a good idea to get her out of the house and into the pool this morning. I got fussed at for not getting pictures the last time we went to the pool so here are pictures and video.

Edit- If you blow up a couple of these pictures you can see her first two teeth on the bottom. We should have two more any day now. All I have to say is God Bless the makers of Motrin and Hyland's Teething Tablets

These pictures were taken yesterday. I just thought they were cute.

OK, well I finally got around to doing some of the video. I wanted to delete the bad ones and at least get some good shots in. So, this is at least my drive at # 7. I went a little left, but still stayed out of the trees.

Next one is from #2 an ya know I actually do not have bad form on it

Jon @ Augusta National

Jon asked me to post a few pictures. He hasn't had time just yet, but I'm sure he will share some of his favorite videos and pictures soon.

Jon had a very good time! He was walking on air when he got home.
This is Jon's group that he played with.

Updates...

Well, Today is Daddy's Big Day! Yes, boys and girls.. Jon Robbins is currently playing golf at Augusta National Golf Club!!! I'm sure that there will be several pictures and videos posted after he gets home tonight. He took all the cameras!!
I did find some pictures from a couple of days ago that I could share though.

Massey Looking oh so UNIMPRESSED with April chasing her around the room. As you can see in the back ground Max could care less! I really think that he was meant to be a part of our family, much to Massey dismay at times. We told her over and over to leave Jackson alone. He was old and sick and she still insisted on pouncing on him... So as far as we are concerned ... Turn about is fair play. She gets it form a Baby and a Kitten!! I often humor myself by thinking of Jackson snickering at her when she is getting hacked off at Max or April. LOL Or one of he dogs for that matter.

April has a few "big girl" toys! I found a great buy on CraigsList.org! This cute little tent and she loves it!! So do the cats, but that's a story for another day. She looks a little... ummm... silly in this picture. LOL I am not a professional photographer PEOPLE!

Just so you know... you can leave messages and read ones left by other friends and family. You can also left click on the pictures and it will bring up a much bigger version. Just a thought... I had talked to several people who didn't know and were squinting to try to make out pictures. LOL

BIG hugs from The Robbins Zoo!!!

Long Week

We have had a pretty busy week...
Jon took a few days off from Nike to caddie at Augusta National and learned late yesterday that he will get to play the course on May 25th. He is VERY excited!

April and I went to Augusta for a couple of days to see Daddy and visit with some of my old friends. We had such a nice tiem visiting with everybody!
The puppies went to Augusta with us! They got to sleep over at National Hill Animal Hospital. The cats stayed here and lounged around with no baby to chase them and no dogs to trample them. :)
MAX has decided that he needs to help me organize!! I bought some small boxes at the Dollar Tree and I guess I'm not filling them fast enough!

After her appointment we went to soft play with the Martin Crew, story time, and back to soft play with Ms Amanda and her little girl. April had a very busy morning!!

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies that we know and love!
I had a very nice Mother's Day. April (with a good bit of help from Jon) got me a beautiful bouquet of Sunflowers, a really cute card, dinner, and TONS of smiles and hugs. Ok, she didn't need much help with the smiles and hugs.
I am truly very lucky! I have a husband that I love very much, a beautiful little girl, and we're surrounded by pets that we adore! I don't think I could ask for much more. Well maybe to win the lottery!... but that would just be gravy!

Duck and Cover!

The world as we know it may very well be coming to an end!! MY husband has BOUGHT a COUNTRY MUSIC Cd!!!!!!!!
When I was going out to the car last night I noticed a Brad Paisley Cd on the window seal. It was unwrapped and I knew I didn't buy it...
I looked at Jon. He smiled and knew that he was busted. (Not that he was keeping it from me.) I gave him a kiss and wanted to check for a fever, but stopped short of putting my hand on his forehead.
For those that don't know Jon... he was NOT a country music guy by any stretch of the imagination when I met him. He would give me such a hard time about country music!!! Then I noticed that he knew who a few of the artists were. Not long after that I heard him mumbling the words to a song. One day when we got in his car, it radio was on a country station. (I thought it must be a mistake) NOW he has PURCHASED a CD for HIMSELF, NOT for ME!!

I LOVE IT!!!!! but more importantly I LOVE JON!!!!!!

Look what saw at the park.

We went to the park with our friend Ms Amanda and her little girl. Look what we saw..

April got so tickled! She giggled and squealed with delight.

After our walk around the lake, we had a nice picnic and April did her best to eat some grass. ;)

Good News.. Bad News...

Before the emails start let me just say that I have a very good reason for not posting anything for a while!

April has been a pretty sick little girl! Fever as high as 104.1, sore throat and mad at the world! Today her fever broke and a nasty rash started... yes, for those with children nodding their heads, it was indeed
Roseola! Not to worry... She is feeling much better now, but it was a pretty long weekend for all involved.

Now for some very exciting news... When we were at our friends The Martin's house on Thursday, April took her first steps! I didn't take any videos since i wanted Jon to see before anyone else, and then she got sick. I will try to get some videos as soon as I can.

Look what I found

While I was out caddying yesterday, my player hit his ball into the pond at #15. While I tried to fish his ball out, I saw another ball. I saw the swoosh on it, and since I am Nike I grabbed it up. Only to turn it around and discover the most Unique Nike ball of them all. You can hopefully tell from the picture who's ball it was!

First Sign!

Tonight April used her first sign! I had started trying to teach just a few words/signs to begin with and tonight she used the sign for milk over and over again while having her bedtime bottle. When I noticed it and started praising her, she gave me me a sweet little smile and did it again.
I found a great website that teaches Baby signs. Far be it form me not to share!

http://www.aslpro.com/cgi-bin/aslpro/aslpro.cgi
Just click on ASL for babies.

Ok, ok I know. As my friend Stephanie would so eloquently put it, I'm turning into a "Crunchy Granola-ee Mom" ! LOL
1 Made baby food
2 cloth diapers
3 Baby wearing
4 Teaching sign language
What's next... LOL!!!
