Feeding the neighborhood!

Muffin Tin Monday has inspired us to get just a little dirty this weekend. Our theme for this coming Monday is Birds. I had an idea to use this theme to entertain us and help us learn about birds.

Today we made a bird feeder out of a Hawaiian Punch jug.
(My husband found some on sale so now I have all of these bottles waiting to go to recycling.)

The Hawaiian Punch jugs have that great little handle to make it easier to tie onto a branch or whatever you choose to hang it from.

Bunny got some Princess stickers in her potty training kit. We never used them, and since she wanted to "make it pretty" I figured we could put them to use.

I may tilt my head to look at it. Much like I would to an abstract piece of art trying to find the beauty in it.. but Bunny thought it was the most beautiful thing on the island!!! Isn't that what matters? :o)

Moments after hanging it. We had a little bird come check it out. He flew to the next tree and started chirping like crazy. Bunny and I decided that he was calling his friends. I had no idea there was such a need for a bird restaurant in the area. :o)P

Puzzle Mania

Bunny has started wanting to do puzzles. NOT "Baby Puzzles" .. "Big Girl Puzzles" Hummmm.
I found myself turning into Pooh (you know.. the chubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff?).. "Think think think."

I may have startled the child when I jumped up, yelled "OH! I KNOW!!!" I had seen on several blogs, that you could make puzzles out of boxes. To the recycling box I went. I found the brightest box in there, scissors and started cutting. While I was cutting, Bunny said "I'm so proud of you! Good Job Mommy!" All while hugging my leg. (She's such a blessing. I love her :) I don't think she has any idea how much that means.)

She seems to be pretty impressed. Both with her new puzzle
AND
her Mommy that somehow pulled her new puzzle out of thin air. LOL

Muffin Tin Monday - No Theme

Sick Mommy = Lame "tin"

Raisins, carrots, baby pickle, ranch, bread and Swiss cheese cut into the shape of a flower.

There was no theme this week as it is the Monday after Mother's Day. April still isn't eating much as we have all been pretty sick with a summer cold. So this week is more of just things for her to snack on. (Thank You Mom for the silicone cups :o) April thought they were pretty cool!)
I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I can't imagine Mother's Day being anything but wonderful..

To check out what other MTM Moms are up to..

check out Muffin Tin Monday!!
