April's Big Girl Bed!!!

I had to share our morning with you guys!!! It was a very big day for our little girl! She moved into a BIG GIRL BED!! (The selfish side of me thinks it's not even close to being fair that she's getting so big so fast.)

.
Last night in her crib with her Momo.
This is what I get for leaving her with a big girl cup while I helped Daddy with putting the bed together.
A big sticky apple juice mess!!

We could hardly get the sheet on. She kept climbing up onto the bed. LOL
Just the right size for a big girl.

The Big Momo cracks me up!!! I think it may take up more room in her bed than she does. :)

Her first nap in her toddler bed.
(Note the shoe still on her right foot. LOL )
Awwwww! April with her "Momo"!

This is her Daddy introducing her to Choc Chunk Cookies this morning.

Yuck!

We learned yesterday that April needs to wear braces on her legs while she sleeps at night. her feet turn in when she walks. It's nothing that isn't correctable.. Just doesn't sound like much fun!
I will keep everybody updated on when and how...
Hope everyone is well!!

We are all so blessed!

I wanted to recognize just how blessed our family is to have so many wonderful people in our lives that love us... especially April and baby brother. We have recently had several things happen that I wanted to say something about.

Bailey - Even though this dear and beautiful friend has lots on her plate, she finds time to keep in contact and lift me up. I sent her a "belly picture" since she requested one... Her response was to tell me how beautiful I was. (That's hard for me to see, though Jon tells me all the time, but it made me feel so special!)
She also sent a us a life saving gift! A highchair!!! I had a wonderful highchair that we didn't have room for anymore and April was in a booster. If I had known then that we were going to try for a baby brother or sister this soon.. I would have found a way to keep it. You know what they say.. Hind sight 20/20 and all...
Anyway... She sent us a highchair and now I don't have a little girl hugging my legs and singing "Eat? Eat? Mommy Eat?" while I attemp to cook.
Thank You to Bailey and her wonderful family! I love you all!

Amanda - We adore Amanda and her little girl! We go for playdates and she's a great person to vent to. BUT she also does the most wonderful thing about every 6 months... She cleans out her daughters closet and gives the clothes and shoes to April! Most of the cute little outfits you may see April in are from her. She just sent us home yesterday with 2 bags of clothes and a bag of shoes... Oh and an April size potty! How LUCKY are we!!!

Ashley and Jess - These ladies are great friends to have!!! They love all of our children! When we went to Atlanta they let Rooster and Ti sleep over at their home even though they have 2 big dogs (one the size of a horse) and a cat. Rooster got lots of belly rubs and Ti had plenty of cuddle time while we were away. PLUS!!! They gave Rooster and Ti a BATH!!!
They have also claimed dibs on watching April while we are at the hospital with baby brother. And since April loves them both.. I don't think she will mind at all. LOL

Tavia - Dear Aunt Tavia... If she hands us a bag we can be sure that we won't be dissapointed! She somehow finds some of the cutest clothes!!! Here is a picture of a couple of things that we got during our visit.

GranNana and GranPapa - We got to go to Waycross for a quick visit to see family before I can't travel anymore. While we were there my Nana suprised April with a cute little outfit and a vacuum cleaner that sings!

**** I had a feeling that I had left someone out, and I remembered when who when I was getting dressed this morning!!****

GrandMa and GrandPa Robbins - As grandparents.. I'm not too suprised that they want to spoil this sweet little. But I never expected that they would want to spoil ME too.

When we were up for our visit, they bought me 2 pairs of maternity jeans! I have to admit that my old ones were pretty ratty.. I am delited to have my new pants!

They also sent us home with a toddler bed. So April will have a big girl bed very soon!

THANK YOU to everyone!!! We all feel completely blessed to have you in our lives!!

Imagination Library - Free Books

I was signed up for this program in GA and just learned that it's nation wide. I highly reccomend it! There is no cost to the parent or family.
Your child would get a free book every month until he or she turns 5. You can start at anytime before they turn 5 years old. You can also sign up multiple children.
The books are GREAT! Many of them ar classics. Apirl's first one was The Little Engine that Could. PLus.. she got so excited getting a gift in the mail every month. They come addressed to the child. I thougth that was cute. :)

Family Trip

My wonderful husband had a great idea...Let's do something special with April before baby brother gets here. We decided that a trip to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta would be perfect. Man were we right!!! Not only did Mom get to see some of the most amazing sharks and sea creatures.. April soaked up every last bit of information available.

April got so excited when rays would swim up to her (in the petting pool) and if only I could have gotten a picture of her expression when she first saw the jellyfish and the large viewing wall at the tropical fish. She also got to see a real live clown fish!!! When they swam down so she could see them she squealed out "MOMO!!" I had to laugh it was so cute!

My camera didn't want to work in the aquarium the few times I tried to take pictures. The rest of the time we were enjoying ourselves so much I completely forgot to take pictures. The pictures that did show up will give you an idea of how excited April was. She could barley contain herself... not that I can blame her.. it really was a wonderful trip.

We also got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Robbins. They came to the aquarium with us and got several good laughs from April's excitement.

"New MOMO"

When we originally got April a plush Nemo toy.. we had NO IDEA that she was going to become as attached to her "MoMo" as she has. He must be there when she goes to bed.. she wants him if she doesn't feel good.. Nemo has become a very important to our sweet little girl.

Having said that.. Jon and I decided we should get a back up Nemo, just in case something catastrophic happens to her "MOMO" (Rooster eats it, it gets lost, it gets broken beyond repair...). So while we were in Atlanta we went to Discover Mills where they still have a Disney store. She walked in, walked straight over to a Nemo, picked it up, said with a very definitive tone "MOMO" and nodded. As if that was just what she was looking for. We walked around and looked at many wonderful things while we waited for Daddy. She only put him down long enough to pet a dalmatian from 101 Dalmatians and announce "Puppy". Then it was back to her new Nemo.

When Jon got there we started up to the register. We saw a huge nemo about the same time she did. Jon had already handed the cashier the much smaller Nemo for purchase. April walked over, got the big Nemo off the shelf, took it over to her Daddy, attempted to hold it up to him, and with her beautiful big brown eyes staring up at him... she said "MOMO?" My though was, Do you really need a "Momo" the size of Ti?... But Jon, being the wonderfully sweet man that he is, said "You know what April, your a good baby and you never ask for anything... Ok." and he put the Nemo on the counter.

I have to admit that I felt a little better when I realized that they were both about 50% off.

The following pictures are from last night just before bed.

There are lots of people in the area that we love and miss. If we did not get to see you, I hope you will accept my apologies. We only had a day and a half to fit everything in.
We had a wonderful trip and April had a blast!! But I am so glad to be home.
