April got so excited when rays would swim up to her (in the petting pool) and if only I could have gotten a picture of her expression when she first saw the jellyfish and the large viewing wall at the tropical fish. She also got to see a real live clown fish!!! When they swam down so she could see them she squealed out "MOMO!!" I had to laugh it was so cute!
My camera didn't want to work in the aquarium the few times I tried to take pictures. The rest of the time we were enjoying ourselves so much I completely forgot to take pictures. The pictures that did show up will give you an idea of how excited April was. She could barley contain herself... not that I can blame her.. it really was a wonderful trip.
We also got to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa Robbins. They came to the aquarium with us and got several good laughs from April's excitement.
"New MOMO"
When we originally got April a plush Nemo toy.. we had NO IDEA that she was going to become as attached to her "MoMo" as she has. He must be there when she goes to bed.. she wants him if she doesn't feel good.. Nemo has become a very important to our sweet little girl.
Having said that.. Jon and I decided we should get a back up Nemo, just in case something catastrophic happens to her "MOMO" (Rooster eats it, it gets lost, it gets broken beyond repair...). So while we were in Atlanta we went to Discover Mills where they still have a Disney store. She walked in, walked straight over to a Nemo, picked it up, said with a very definitive tone "MOMO" and nodded. As if that was just what she was looking for. We walked around and looked at many wonderful things while we waited for Daddy. She only put him down long enough to pet a dalmatian from 101 Dalmatians and announce "Puppy". Then it was back to her new Nemo.
When Jon got there we started up to the register. We saw a huge nemo about the same time she did. Jon had already handed the cashier the much smaller Nemo for purchase. April walked over, got the big Nemo off the shelf, took it over to her Daddy, attempted to hold it up to him, and with her beautiful big brown eyes staring up at him... she said "MOMO?" My though was, Do you really need a "Momo" the size of Ti?... But Jon, being the wonderfully sweet man that he is, said "You know what April, your a good baby and you never ask for anything... Ok." and he put the Nemo on the counter.
I have to admit that I felt a little better when I realized that they were both about 50% off.
The following pictures are from last night just before bed.
There are lots of people in the area that we love and miss. If we did not get to see you, I hope you will accept my apologies. We only had a day and a half to fit everything in.
We had a wonderful trip and April had a blast!! But I am so glad to be home.
